Visit from Dan & Cathy Peterson clan
Dan's daughters (Anne, Jane, Ruth) and Andersen catching a breather after some hardcore wrestling. Guess who sacrificed nap time for playtime?
We were going to go to the neighborhood park, but our sandbox was plenty of fun for these castle builders.
Andersen and Anne having a chocolate moustache contest.
Jane, the oldest daughter, said "it's amazing how messy little kids are."
We enjoyed the Petersons visiting all the way from Klamath Falls, Oregon, and hope they will come again soon.

How NOT to eat an ice cream cone!
Charl's high school friend brought his family to our house for a visit. Charl loves ice cream so we always have it in the freezer. He made all the kids an ice cream cone. Since chocolate varieties are my favorite, that's what we had...Rocky Road to be exact. I told Charl to take Anders' shirt off or put a bib on him. (In one ear and out the other.) This is definitely how NOT to eat an ice cream cone. Enjoy.

If you concentrate hard enough, you just might get it all over you. You should NOT concentrate when eating an ice cream cone.
Andersen is probably thinking, "The more I get on my face and arms, the more I'll have to enjoy later."
When he was finished he got hosed down (literally) and then he got a bath. Any suggestions on how to get this shirt CLEAN???

Yummy Shoes!
This week she has made great strides. Her two bottom teeth broke through and she ate her first Cheerio. She can pull herself up to standing...she thinks she doesn't need to hold on, but after falling on her first attempt she is a little more cautious. She's on her way to walking.

Andersen's Thinking Cap
Andersen was cute today. We were playing on Disney.com and found a Mickey Mouse coloring page. I printed it off and put him in his chair so he could color. The strainer was on the table, so he put it on his head and said "hat". He watched "Little Bear" this morning (and last night) and perhaps was influenced by it (if you've never seen the movie, the bear puts a strainer on his head to use as a space helmet so he can fly to the moon).
Sunday Mohawk
Today I gave Holly a mohawk. Charl doesn't like them on girls, so he tried matting it down. Holly doesn't care what her hair looks like...she just wants to chew on her taggie...
or her fingers!!!
And, now she gives the hairdo a THUMBS UP.
